    This annual two-day event addressed the challenges facing African American businesses in Birmingham and celebrates the benefits that those businesses bring to the community.

    On a monthly basis, this site highlights past and present Alabama African American history makers, unsung sheros/heros and current events.

    This event that brings together more than 1,000 national and local leaders from the fields of education, history, public policy and civil rights to explore the history and culture of people  of African descent and to learn about the contributions made by African Americans to this nation and the world.

    Event Planner
    The unveiling of the AT&T Alabama African American History Calendar showcased the 12 calendar honorees in presentations to area high school students and in a convocation that is open to the general public.
